MacCORE Location
Important news from the Board of Directors of MacCORE....
Effective for the next general meeting on Wednesday, March 19th, 2008 at 7 pm, we will no longer be meeting at the Sylvester Powell Jr. Community Center at 6200 Martway in Mission, Kansas.
Instead, we will be meeting at the Centriq Training Center at 8700 State Line Road in Leawood, Kansas. The center is directly across the street from the Ward Parkway Shopping Center. We were located at this facility about 3 1/2 to 4 years ago in another room on the other side of the building.
We are moving strictly for financial reasons. At present, the Sylvester facility is very spacious and comfortable but we are spending $186.00 a month for the main room and the break out room across the hall. For several months we have been looking for something a little more along the lines of FREE, but still centrally located. Some place smaller and more intimate. We will still have a separate room for the Basic Fundamentals Group (New Users SIG) that meets at 6 pm.
We will be located on the second floor on the south end of the building. Meetings will start at our normal time of 7 pm for the main meeting and 6 pm for the Basic Fundamentals Group. If you use the front entrance, take the elevator to the second floor. Upon leaving the elevator turn right and follow the hallway past the restrooms to the receptionist's desk. Tell him/her that you're with MacCORE and they will direct you. (We will be meeting in the last room at the end of the hallway on the left across from the snack bar area.)
If you have problems with stairs, you can use the entrance on the rear of the building. Come in the middle doors and enter the elevators exiting to your right and following the same directions as above.
I will find out for sure, but when we were here previously the main doors were locked at 8 pm. So if your a late arriver or need to go to your vehicle after 8 pm and want to reenter you will need to have someone meet/follow you to let you in. I will double check this information and let everyone know in my reminder emails later in the month.
